Shadow Kings - DM design

Some people wonder how I create some characters after I describe them in my writings. It is a different thought process than painting... but it creates something that is a building block for the creation of a being.

DM, the Dead Man, is an old soldier who has was hard to kill in battle. When his body started to fail, he replaced his skin with metal and his bones became his flesh. His energy comes from constantly drinking... and even though he can't taste or smell anymore, he remembers memories from his life from the act.

I first looked at a live skeleton (hahaha...sorry, I mean real skeleton) and added some Termanator parts to give him the look of metal skeleton. The Skull was an interesting accident that happened in Drawing 2...
